Events are a free and safe way for Residents to drop off a variety of items that might otherwise be difficult to throw away. 24 events will take place this year in Toledo.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Residents of Toledo have 24 opportunities this year to participate in Clean Toledo Drop Off Refuse and Recycling events.
These free events allow for the safe disposal of items that might normally be difficult to maintain or otherwise not accepted at curbside residential waste collection services.
New this year, the list of acceptable items has been expanded for certain days, and latex and oil-based paints and stains will be disposed of free of charge.
ACCEPTED WASTE AND RECYCLING ITEMS
A variety of items will be collected for proper and safe disposal at these events.
Items that will be accepted for disposal or recycling include:
- Electronic waste
- CRT TVs and Monitors
- A maximum of 10 tires (on or off rim, no commercial tires allowed)
- Document shredding and recycling
- Household items
- Clothes
- Toys
- Bulky items
- Cardboard
- To refuse
- Latex or oil-based paints and stains (free)
- Hazardous household waste
- Styrofoam and boat wrap*
*April 23, May 7 and May 21 only
Air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers or major appliances will not be accepted.
Event times vary for 2022, but most take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at designated locations below. Check the list for more information.
