Public hearing scheduled for Baltimore County garbage, recycling collection regulation changes

TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Office of Solid Waste Management will hold a public hearing in October regarding proposed changes to solid waste collection regulations.

The Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT) is proposing revisions to the Bureau of Solid Waste Management’s (BSWM) “Baltimore County Residential Trash and Recycling Collection Regulations” regarding garbage collection. bulk items and garden material placement requirements.

For community feedback, a public hearing will be held on Monday, October 24 at 6 p.m. The hearing will take place in the Towson Library Meeting Room, located at 320 York Road in Towson. County officials will be present at the hearing to answer questions and comments.

Copies of the proposed revisions to the regulations are available for online review heredirectly from the BSWM ([email protected] or 410-887-2000) and at every branch of the Baltimore County Public Library System.

In addition to the hearing, individuals may send written comments on the proposed revisions to Nicholas Rodricks, Manager, Bureau of Solid Waste Management, 111 West Chesapeake Avenue, Room 211, Towson, MD 21204 or [email protected].

Comments must be received no later than November 7, 2022.
