Irish tech disposal and recycling company opens site in Northborough

Wisetek, an IT asset disposal company based in Cork, Ireland, has opened a new 42,000 square foot facility in Northborough.

The company provides secure disposal of IT equipment and recycles or resells the assets.

The facility located at 20 Forbes Road, Unit C, will serve the company’s domestic and multinational customers as well as local private customers, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the company.

In addition, Wisetek Market, the company’s refurbished equipment sales division, will maintain inventory on-site.

“Wisetek is incredibly proud to announce the creation of this new facility in Massachusetts, which will allow us to increase our presence in the region. This development is a testament to the rapid growth of Wisetek and the ITAD industry as a whole, as more and more organizations “We realize the importance of implementing fit-for-purpose processes in this area, to ensure safety, compliance and sustainability. We look forward to growing Wisetek’s business in the United States, as well as continuing to grow internally in the years to come,” CEO Sean Sheehan said in the press release.

Wisetek was founded in 2007, employs 200 people at four locations in the United States and plans to grow that number to 300. The company employs 450 people worldwide.
