Christmas tree recycling is available throughout Maricopa County

Residents of Maricopa County have several options for recycling their Christmas trees and wreaths this year.

Cities offering drop-off points ask residents:

  • Bring only live trees and wreaths, not plastic trees and wreaths.
  • Bring the tree and crown without a bag.
  • Remove all decorations, lights and garlands.
  • Remove the tree support and all metal nails / stakes.

Here is a list of some of the available drop-off points.

Avondale

The depot is available from A to Z Equipment at 803 E. Van Buren St. in Avondale. Trees can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until January 10. The business is closed on January 1st. For questions, call 623-925-0200.

Chandler

The deposit is available until January 14.

  • Arrowhead Park: 1475 W. Erie St. Tree Box in the parking lot next to Erie Street.
  • Chuparosa Park: 2400 S. Dobson Road. Boxwood in the parking lot near the basketball court.
  • Desert Breeze Park: 660 N. Desert Breeze Blvd. Boxwood in the parking lot in front of the schools.
  • Folley Park: 601 E. Frye Road. Tree box in the Hamilton Street parking lot near the pool.
  • Nozomi Park: 250 S. Kyrene Road. Boxwood in the parking lot south of the swimming pool.
  • Pima Park: 625, chemin N. McQueen. Tree box in the Thatcher Boulevard parking lot.
  • Recycling and Solid Waste Collection Center: 955 E. Queen Creek Road. Bring photo ID and current City of Chandler invoice.
  • Shawnee Park: 1400 W. Mesquite St. Tree Box in the Mesquite Street parking lot.
  • Snedigar Sportsplex: entrance from Alma school road. Tree box in the parking lot near the baseball fields.
  • Tumbleweed Park: 745 E. Germann Road. Tree box in the parking lot across the street, west of the Tennis Center.
  • Veterans Oasis Park: 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road. Tree box in the east parking lot of Chandler Heights.

Curbside pickup is available until Jan. 14 for Chandler residents who pay for the city’s solid waste management services. Place the tree at the edge of the driveway by 6 a.m. on the day of your scheduled recycling collection.

The Mirage

The deposit is available at the Public Works facility at 10355 N. 121st Ave.

The city also offers curbside recycling for residents. Trees must be placed curbside before 5 a.m. on Monday, January 3.

Glendale

The deposit is available until January 7.

  • Acoma Park, 53rd Avenue and Acoma Road.
  • Fire Station # 156, 6801 W. Deer Valley Road.
  • Glendale Heroes Park, 83rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
  • Foothills Park, 57th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
  • Sahuaro Ranch Park, 9802 N. 59th Ave. (east corner of 63rd Avenue and Mountain View Road).
  • O’Neill Park, 64th avenues and Missouri.
  • Rose Lane Park, 51st and Marlette avenues.

Good year

Mesa

The deposit is available until January 16.

  • Mountain View Park, 845 N. Lindsay Road (exit Adobe Street).
  • Dobson Ranch Park, 2363 S. Dobson Road.

Curbside pickup is available for $ 25. Call 480-644-6789 for more details or to schedule a pickup time. Trees collected from the curb will not be recycled.

Phoenix

The deposit is available until January 8.

Central phoenix:

  • Parc Marivue – 59th avenue and chemin Osborn.

  • Madison Park – 16th Street and Glenrosa Avenue.
  • Los Olivos Park – 28th Street and Devonshire Avenue.

Phoenix of the North:

  • Deer Valley Park – 19th Avenue and Utopia Road.
  • Paradise Valley Park – 40th Street south of Union Hills Drive.

The A-to-Z equipment rental locations at 4050 E. Indian School Road and 15634 N. 32nd St. also offer drop-off service from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from December 26 to January 5. The business is closed on January 1st.

Scottsdale

The deposit is available until January 18.

  • Eldorado Park (77th Street and McDowell Road – in the parking lot east of the soccer fields).
  • Chaparral Park (Hayden Road and Jackrabbit Road – in the parking lot west of the soccer fields).
  • Scottsdale Ranch Park (104th Street and Via Linda – in the parking lot west of the basketball courts).
  • Cactus Park (Cactus Road and Scottsdale Road – southwest corner of parking lot).
  • Horizon Park (north of Thompson Peak Parkway – on 100th St. – near the baseball field roundabout).
  • Scottsdale Sports Complex (Bell Road and 82nd Street – in the parking lot east of the soccer fields).
  • Thompson Peak Park (Thompson Peak Parkway and Hayden Road – in the northeast parking lot).

Scottsdale residents in single family homes can also place Christmas trees in their green waste pile, separate from the bulk waste, for collection during their scheduled brushing / bulk service week.

Surprise

The deposit is available until January 18.

  • Bi-Centennial Park: 16705 N. Nash St. (south end of parking lot).
  • Surprise Recreation Campus / Youth Baseball Complex: 15795 N. Parkview Place (across from Valley Vista High School).
  • Dick McComb Softball Park: 17894 W. Westpark Blvd. (parking at the corner of 180th avenue and Westpark).
  • Asante Community Park: 16763 W. Vereda Solana Drive.

Temple

The deposit is available until January 30 at the compost / inert facility at 1001 N. Rio Road in Tempe. Navigate to the site at the intersection of Hardy Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.

Curbside collection is available to residents during bulk / unconfined collection. Residents should place the tree in their green organics pile.
